Completing Your Self-Onboarding

If your new employer has invited you to self-onboard, you'll receive an email with a secure link to a form where you can fill in your own personal, identification, and banking details – instead of your employer capturing them for you. Once you submit the form, your employer reviews your details and finalises setting up your employee profile.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • Your ID and banking details on hand.
  • Enough time to complete the form in one sitting – you can't save your progress and finish later.

👉 How-To Guides

How to complete your self-onboarding form

  1. Open the email from your employer, and click the link to complete your onboarding.
  2. On the form, you'll see the name of the company you're onboarding to, and the date your link expires.
  3. Confirm your First Names, Last Name, and email address, which are pre-filled. Your Date of Appointment is also pre-filled, but you can't change it.
  4. Complete your Personal Details, and your residential address (and postal address, where applicable).
  5. If your employer has indicated that you're paid via EFT, complete your banking details, too.
  6. Click Submit.

Once you submit the form, you'll see a confirmation message, and your employer will be notified to review your details. You can then close the page.

Can't find the invite email?

Check your junk or spam folder. If you still can't find it, contact your employer and ask them to resend the invite.

🔍 FAQs

What happens after I submit my details?

Your employer reviews what you've submitted, and either approves it or sends it back to you with comments if something needs fixing.

  • If they approve your submission, your employee profile is created, and you'll receive a separate activation email shortly afterwards to set up your Self-Service account – this is where you can access your payslips and manage your personal details going forward.
  • If they send it back for changes, you'll receive an email with their comments and a new link. Your form will be pre-populated with what you submitted previously, so you only need to correct what was flagged.
Can I save my progress and finish the form later?

No. You need to complete the form in one session before submitting it.

Can I change my details after I've submitted the form?

Not directly. Contact your employer – they can either correct the information during their review, or send your submission back to you with a new link so that you can update and resubmit it.

I already have a SimplePay Self-Service login from another company. What happens when I'm approved?

You can log in with your existing credentials – you don't need a separate account for each company you work for.
