We heard your cries for a quicker way to download multiples payslips for an employee and are happy to announce that this is now available.
Our new Payslips Export report allows you to download a ZIP file with all the payslips within a specific date range for selected employees or pay points. For more information on how to generate this, head to our help article here.
This report makes the task of assisting employees with payslip requests much faster. Remember that employees also have the option to download payslips themselves using the self-service portal or app.

When capturing payroll from an employee’s profile, our approach has always been to display only the payslip items that impact nett pay directly. This makes it easier to view exactly what impact (if any) the payslip item has on the salary or wage that the employee actually receives.
To view other payslip items, like statutory employer contributions or benefits-in-kind, you can click on the Preview link to view the employee’s payslip. We are now delighted to introduce a new feature that allows you view these other payslip items without opening the payslip. Clicking on More next to the Preview link will display all the payslip items from the payslip on the screen.
On the left hand side of the screen, you will see all the items that appear in the payslip section that are used to calculate nett pay. On the right hand side, you will see the other payslip items that do not impact nett pay directly (i.e. they are not directly added or subtracted to get the nett pay – however, they could impact the nett pay indirectly by influencing the tax calculation, which impacts nett pay).
We hope this new feature for viewing payslip details faster makes payroll even simpler.
We are happy to announce that we have increased our bulk actions functionality to include bulk actions for once-off payslips. If you have multiple employees with once-off payslips and need to add items to these payslips, you can now do so in bulk by going to Employees > Bulk Actions.
From here, you can select either Payslip Inputs or Clocking Imports. Then click on Switch to once-off payslips and capture your data accordingly. Please take note of the following:
Payslip Inputs: As always, only once-off items (i.e. no regular items) can be added to once-off payslips.
Clocking Imports: Only custom items with Payslip Inputs are supported for this method.

You spoke… and we listened! We have received lots of feedback regarding our payslip design and numerous requests for an updated version.
Therefore, we are very pleased to announce the introduction of a new look payslip. We trust that you will find this new format fresher and more up-to-date.
All new companies added after 26 July 2017 will automatically have the new payslip format. However, you will be able to switch a newly added company back to the old payslip format by going to Settings > Payslip Settings and ticking the box next to Use old format (Version 1).
Additionally, all existing clients will be able to switch individual companies created before 26 July 2017 to the new payslip format in a similar way – by going to Settings > Payslip Settings and ticking the box next to Use new format (Version 2).
Alternatively, if you are a user with multiple companies, you could contact our support team to request the activation of the new payslip design for all the companies in your profile.

All the existing payslip features and settings will still be available; for example, if you want to use self-sealing confidential stationery, that is still possible.
