I cannot finalise a payslip; the system says ERR permissions are missing
Enhanced Reporting Requirements (ERR) came into effect on 1 January 2024. They require employers to report to Revenue – in real time – details of certain non-taxable payments made and benefits given to employees and directors.

If you recently started using an ERR item (i.e. Small Benefit Exemption, Remote Working Daily Allowance, or Travel and Subsistence (non-taxable)) on a payslip, and you try to finalise the payslip, you might get an error message saying that ERR permissions are missing.
Before you can finalise that payslip, a new ROS certificate with ERR permissions needs to be uploaded to SimplePay.
